讚美詩 50 蘇利耶(太陽神)

1

उदु तयं जातवेदसं देवं वहन्ति केतवः |
दर्शे विश्वाय सूर्यम ||

udu tyaṃ jātavedasaṃ devaṃ vahanti ketavaḥ |
dṛśe viśvāya sūryam ||

HIS bright rays bear him up aloft, the God who knoweth all that lives,
Sūrya, that all may look on him.

他明亮的光芒將他高高舉起，那知道一切眾生的神，蘇利耶，讓所有人都可以注視他。

अप तये तायवो यथा नक्षत्रा यन्त्यक्तुभिः |
सूराय विश्वचक्षसे ||

apa tye tāyavo yathā nakṣatrā yantyaktubhiḥ |
sūrāya viśvacakṣase ||

 The constellations pass away, like thieves, together with their beams,
Before the all-beholding Sun.

星座連同它們的光芒，像小偷一樣在無所不在的太陽面前消逝。

अद्र्श्रमस्य केतवो वि रश्मयो जनाननु |
भराजन्तो अग्नयो यथा ||

adṛśramasya ketavo vi raśmayo janānanu |
bhrājanto aghnayo yathā ||

 His herald rays are seen afar refulgent o’er the world of men,
Like flames of fire that burn and blaze.

遠遠望去，他的先驅光芒閃耀在人類的世界之上，就像熊熊燃燒的火焰。

तरणिर्विश्वदर्शतो जयोतिष्क्र्दसि सूर्य |
विश्वमा भासिरोचनम ||

taraṇirviśvadarśato jyotiṣkṛdasi sūrya |
viśvamā bhāsirocanam ||

Swift and all beautiful art thou, O Sūrya, maker of the light,
Illuming all the radiant realm.

蘇利耶啊，你是光的創造者，你敏捷又美麗，照亮了整個光輝的國度。

परत्यं देवानां विशः परत्यङङ उदेषि मानुषान |
परत्यं विश्वं सवर्द्र्शे ||

pratyaṃ devānāṃ viśaḥ pratyaṅṅ udeṣi mānuṣān |
pratyaṃ viśvaṃ svardṛśe ||

Thou goest to the hosts of Gods, thou comest hither to mankind,
Hither all light to be beheld.

你走向眾神的軍隊，你來到人類這裡，這裡有一切光明可供瞻望。

येना पावक चक्षसा भुरण्यन्तं जनाननु |
तवं वरुण पश्यसि ||

yenā pāvaka cakṣasā bhuraṇyantaṃ janānanu |
tvaṃ varuṇa paśyasi ||

 With that same eye of thine wherewith thou lookest brilliant Varuṇa,
Upon the busy race of men,

你用那雙眼睛，看著輝煌的Varuṇa(天空，雨水及天海之神)，看著忙碌的人類。

वि दयामेषि रजस पर्थ्वहा मिमानो अक्तुभिः |
पश्यञ जन्मानि सूर्य ||

vi dyāmeṣi rajas pṛthvahā mimāno aktubhiḥ |
paśyañ janmāni sūrya ||

Traversing sky and wide mid-air, thou metest with thy beams our days,
Sun, seeing all things that have birth.

穿越天空和廣闊的半空，你用你的光芒迎接我們的日子，太陽，看見萬物的誕生。

सप्त तवा हरितो रथे वहन्ति देव सूर्य |
शोचिष्केशं विचक्षण ||

sapta tvā harito rathe vahanti deva sūrya |
śociṣkeśaṃ vicakṣaṇa ||

Seven Bay Steeds harnessed to thy car bear thee, O thou farseeing One,
God, Sūrya, with the radiant hair.

七匹海灣駿馬套在你的車上載著你，哦，你這有遠見的神，蘇利耶，頭髮光彩照人。

अयुक्त सप्त शुन्ध्युवः सूरो रथस्य नप्त्यः |
ताभिर्याति सवयुक्तिभिः ||

ayukta sapta śundhyuvaḥ sūro rathasya naptyaḥ |
tābhiryāti svayuktibhiḥ ||

Sūrya hath yoked the pure bright Seven, the daughters of the car; with these,
His own dear team, he goeth forth.

蘇利耶（Sūrya）與純潔明亮的七人（女兒）聯姻；帶著他自己親愛的團隊，他繼續前進。

उद वयं तमसस परि जयोतिष पश्यन्त उत्तरम |
देवं देवत्रा सूर्यमगन्म जयोतिरुत्तमम ||

ud vayaṃ tamasas pari jyotiṣ paśyanta uttaram |
devaṃ devatrā sūryamaghanma jyotiruttamam ||

Looking upon the loftier light above the darkness we have come
To Sūrya, God among the Gods, the light that is most excellent.

望著黑暗之上的崇高光明，我們來到了蘇利耶，諸神之中的神，最卓越的光明。

उद्यन्नद्य मित्रमह आरोहन्नुत्तरां दिवम |
हर्द्रोगं ममसूर्य हरिमाणं च नाशय ||

udyannadya mitramaha ārohannuttarāṃ divam |
hṛdroghaṃ mamasūrya harimāṇaṃ ca nāśaya ||

Rising this day, O rich in friends, ascending to the loftier heaven,
Sūrya remove my heart's disease, take from me this my yellow hue.

哦，富有的朋友們，今天起床，上升到更高的天堂，Sūrya消除我的心中的障礙，從我身上奪走我的黃色色調。

शुकेषु मे हरिमाणं रोपणाकासु दध्मसि |
अथो हारिद्रवेषु मे हरिमाणं नि दध्मसि ||

śukeṣu me harimāṇaṃ ropaṇākāsu dadhmasi |
atho hāridraveṣu me harimāṇaṃ ni dadhmasi ||

To parrots and to starlings let us give away my yellowness,
Or this my yellowness let us transfer to Haritāla trees.

讓我們把我的黃色交給鸚鵡和椋鳥，或是讓我們把我的黃色轉移到Haritāla(哈里塔拉)樹上。

उदगादयमादित्यो विश्वेन सहसा सह |
दविषन्तं मह्यं रन्धयन मो अहम दविषते रधम ||

udaghādayamādityo viśvena sahasā saha |
dviṣantaṃ mahyaṃ randhayan mo aham dviṣate radham ||

With all his conquering vigour this Āditya hath gone up on high,
Giving my foe into mine hand: let me not be my foeman's prey.

憑藉他征服一切的力量，Āditya已升上高天，將我的敵人交到我手中：讓我不要成為我敵人的獵物。
